What to wear to a hotel high tea?

Wear a skirt (pencil skirts are super stylish right now)that is no shorter than directly above the knee cap with dark coloured (black is best) or nude nylons. If you do not like skirts, try to find nice khakis, dress pants, or wideleg trousers. Wear a cute blouse with a cami (optional, but is a discreet way to add colour) with a cardigan (they're not all grandma-like now, you can find cute ones) or a blazer. High heels would be great with this outfit (make sure they are closed toe, for etiquette and seasonal reasons). Ballet flats are also cute, but avoid wearing boots. If you live in a snowy area, and boots are necessary, swap boots for fancier shoes before you walk into the hotel. If you wear jewellery, make sure the earrings are studs or small hoops. A long necklace with a charm on it is updated, but still appropriate.
