Am I being oversensitive again? :-(?

I would have slammed the door in her face so fast the little hairs in her nose would have felt the breeze! How ignorant is she? Your house, your kids, your rules. I hate it when adults tell kids they are going to do something and than they don't follow through with it. Obviously she has no concept or respect for the feelings of kids and what things like that do to them. I would have a talk with her and let her know if she ever pulled a stunt like that again it would be her last. Kids need stability in their little lives, not drunk fly by nights. Your duty is to your children, not to her. Your duty is protecting your children from people like her. My brother and sister in law did that to my oldest daughter when she was little. They came around a lot for years and got real close to her than, for no reason that I know of they just stopped. Yeah, it was me trying to explain to this little 4 year old why aunt X and uncle Y didn't come to see her anymore. She was really hurt by it so I went in to super protective mood. People just don't think about what their actions do to little kids. You were 110% right, matter of fact you were nice. Stick to your guns and don't let it happen again.
