Can I bring contact solution in my carry on?

I have a huge bottle at home- it's a 16 ounce bottle of solution. I'm only bringing a carry on for my trip, since it will be a short one. I read on the TSA website, and it seems that contact solution (saline) is exempt from the baggie rule... so can I just bring the whole bottle and before it goes into the x-ray, just say "I declare this bottle."? I need to get through as fast as possible without any hle, because I'm going with a group, and I'm sure they don't want to be held up. Also, I probably can't bring my shaving razor, can I?
