Aussie's help me decide where to live!?

I am an 25 yr old American male and I'm really interested into finishing my studies in your country. Just got out of the Army so I meet alot of you guys and gals while in. Well I narrowed my Uni search done to three and was hoping you guys could help me choose between the cities. ADELAIDE, CANBERRA, HOBART or maybe PERTH(I have it last just cause of the distance to anything else.) If you've been to or live in any of these, please give me your opinion.
